Solar Redi And Our History

Ryan Scott  the Founder of SOLAR REDI and his Solar Ready Roofing concept was created in February 2008. While working on "Project Green" at WFAA Ch.8 News and after calling on numerous roofing contractors to sponsor the program, he realized the roofing industry had a few issues with reliability as well as a limited knowledge of "Green Concepts", Renewable Energy and sustainability. To help fill that void, Ryan consulted with his loving wife and together they decided it was worth the risk to start a construction/consulting company with an "Energy Twist.". Trading in a career for a vision and a passion is never an easy thing to do, but like so many others affected by the 2008 recession, great family, friends and loyal customers have been the brick and mortar of their reinvention era.

Ryan was born in Dallas Texas and grew up in the Houston area after his Dad was transferred due to work.  After graduating high school, Ryan attended and graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Business Administration.  Ryan served on the Curriculum Oversight Committee for the University Of North Texas School Of Engineering Technology from 2011-2012 (By invite from Dr, DeSimone).  SOLAR REDI also was invited to co-apply with Dr. Cheng Yu (Associate Professor: College of Structural Engineering) for a 7 million dollar grant in order to innovate new concepts with BIPV in 2011.

Additionally in 2011, Tool LLC (Created for the sole purpose of putting Veterans back to work), approached SOLAR REDI to help facilitate and manage ONCOR Energy Reduction Rebates.   Although, the ONCOR rebates expired before we gained traction, we have not lost sight of trying to due our part by helping those in need and those who needs employement. Most recently, SOLAR REDI was asked by Raytheon's sustainability division to showcase our capabilities to help continue their education for their employees in "Green Building" Concepts.

SOLAR REDI continues to move forward because of our incredible customers as well the people Ryan has been fortunate enough to incorporate into SOLAR REDI.  Innovation is key and it is only possible through the collaboration of great people, great minds and great relationships.   Reliability, customer service, and sustainable building solutions are the core competencies of SOLAR REDI.

Please call us anytime as questions only build knowledge and at SOLAR REDI, answers are always prompt, honest and free of charge.  Thank you for your interest in SOLAR REDI and our best wishes for you in 2013.
